Time to Celebrate!

Yeah!!!  It’s 2020!!   I was excited to have some crafting time as 2019 was coming to an end!!  We were getting more snow – a winter storm with 8 inches of fresh snow and wind.  It was a perfect time to just stay home and craft!!

I like to use paper scraps to make cards (I save it all), and came up with a design to mark our first 2020 snowfall and a New Year!

I’ll provide some general details to make this card, but since this is what I call “A Scrappy Card”, I won’t have a PDF for you, as the snowflake velum and stamp set has been retired.

Speaking of RETIRED:  Remember to check out the Clearance Rack for retiring items and to save some extra cash!!

Now . . . the card recipe!!

I mounted snowflake velum (Holiday Fancy Foil Designer Series Paper) onto a black cardstock panel with mini glue dots. The celebrate sentiment (Celebrate You Thinlets) was cut from silver foil using my Big Shot.  After mounting this sentiment onto black cardstock, I used dimensionals to adhere this panel to the main card.

I stamped the wine glasses (Making Spirits Bright stamp set) on Whisper White cardstock using Stazon ink and added some silver foil to fill those glasses (YUM!). After using a silver ink pen for the bubbles and some clear sparkles on the wine glasses with Winkestella, I mounted the panel onto a black cardstock panel.  Then I used some silver thread to add more celebratory sparkle to this panel.

Can feel the fun celebration happening before your eyes!?!

I finally added some dimensionals to the back of this panel for some “pop” and adhered to the main card.  Whala!!

I hope each of you have a fabulous 2020 New Year that brings with it all the blessings you need and then some more fun!!

Happy New Year 2020!!
