Sweet Valentine Inspiration

This weekend I had a wonderful, much needed, opportunity to work in my craft room!

After a busy week teaching fourth graders, it was nice to relax.  Check out what I made!

The fold on this card is called a “collar fold”.  If you turn the card landscape, you can see why this is a collar fold.  This was a great design to use with this card because I could feature the Valentine heart in colors: real red and flirty flamingo.  I also used a doily as the base to build the heart.  You can’t see the “foil” look, but the polka dots side of the designer series paper sparkles!  I LOVE IT!!

Here you can see the sparkle much better!  One of the things that I always do for the vast majority of my cards is to decorate the envelope.  I feel this gives the card that final designer look.  It also makes the card just a little bit more special.

If you need some Valentine’s Day cards, check out my store to make your own cards OR purchase one of my cards on this blog or my ETSY store.

Giving a handmade card lets the person know how special he/she is to you!

Thanks for stopping by today and giving me the opportunity to inspire you to create your next project.  Let me know if you need something or have questions. I’m always happy to help!

Happy Stamping!  Annette

Very nice! I used to make my own cards but it was very time consuming and coloring just works best for me.

I rarely have time these days for crafting but there was a time I did a lot of it and loved it!
