Making Christmas Bright

It’s July!!

It’s BONUS DAYS @ Stampin’ UP!!

It’s time to make holiday cards!!

First, check out my introduction video:

HERE is my FIRST holiday card for the season, Making Spirits Bright!  I’m excited how the card turned out.  This is my prototype, and I’ll be making more of these this week, along with another holiday card from the same stamp set.  Be on the lookout for more inspiration!

I have a PDF download, so you can get started making this card, too.

If you need any supplies, I would be happy to assist you with your order.  I have the supplies listed below with direct links to my online store.

This was a quick and easy card to make.  I have included all the dimensions, supplies, and how to steps in the PDF download.  If you have any questions, please let me know.

Happy crafting!!

SUPPLIES

  • Stamp Sets – Making Christmas Bright

  • Ink Colors – Call Me Clover * Pineapple Punch * Poppy Parade * StazOn Black

  • Card Stock –  Whisper White * Call Me Clover * Vellum * Silver Foil

  • Misc. – Dimensionals * Stitched Shapes Framelits * Glue Dots * Snail * Silver Metallic Thread * Grid Paper * Stampin’ Pierce Mat * Simply Shammy * Clear Blocks * Big Shot

CARD BASE

  • All dimension measurements are inches.

  • Cut Whisper White cardstock 4 ¼ X 11, fold in half, and score. This is your card base.

  • Cut Color Me Clover cardstock 4 X 5 ¼. This is your first mounting panel.  From this panel’s center, cut a circle using the Stitched Shapes Framelits (4th largest circle) with your Big Shot. Center this panel and use snail to adhere to the card base.

*This is a paper saving tip and trick!

  • Cut Whisper White cardstock 3 ¾ X 5, this is your second mounting panel.  Stamp the holiday lights strand using Stazon at an angle across this panel.

*The lights should be facing the top of the panel when stamping.

  • Use Poppy Parade and Pineapple Punch to color the lights. Use snail to adhere this panel to the mounting panel, Color Me Clover.

  • Cut Vellum 2 X 3 ¾.  Use glue dots adhesive in the center section and adhere to the center of the holiday lights panel.

  • Cut Whisper White cardstock 4 X 4. Use Pineapple Punch to stamp the star wreath. Use the Stitched Shapes Framelits (3rd largest circle) to cut out the star wreath with your Big Shot.  Use snail to adhere the white circle to the green circle.

  • Place snail on the back of the green circle.  Leave sticky side facing up.

  • Cut 2 ½ – 3 feet silver metallic thread.  Wrap the thread around four fingers.

  • Adhering the ends first, place metallic thread on the back of green circle. Arrange so thread so it appears all around the circle to your liking.  Add four dimensions. Adhere this circle mount to the center of the card.

  • Cut 3 ¾ X ¾ silver foil. Banner clip each end.  Adhere to the white circle with snail.

  • Cut 3 X ½ vellum.  Use Stazon to stamp sentiment.  Banner clip each end. Use mini glue dots behind the sentiment words and adhere to the foil.

*Placing glue dots behind the words will hide the glue dots from view.

CARD INSIDE

  • Cut Color Me Clover cardstock 4 X 5 ¼. This is your first mounting panel.  Use snail and adhere to inside of card.

  • Cut Whisper White cardstock 3 ¾ X 5, this is your inside sentiment panel. Along the bottom, stamp the holiday lights strand using Stazon.  Color the lights with Poppy Parade and Pineapple Punch. Use snail and adhere to inside of card.
